Social Check-In Program

Social connections are important to our well-being. If you or someone you know is feeling lonely, isolated or just wanting to hear a friendly voice, the Social Check-In program can help make a positive difference by providing social support. You’ll be paired with a friendly volunteer who will check in over a casual chat, as often as you need and at your convenience.

Get connected with a Social Check-In!

The Social Check-In program connects residents with someone to talk to and helps create regular social interactions. You can sign up for a casual chat over phone, text, video chat or email from one of the Town’s caring volunteers, who have been screened and undergone a police security check.

Whether you want to hear a friendly voice a few times a week or a few times a month, the Social Check-In program is a great way to get social support that fits your needs, at your convenience. This program is for residents of all ages.

Please note this is a check-in program and does not replace other mental health therapies and supports. Volunteers are not providing supports in a professional capacity and do not give advice or direct support, but instead may encourage you to reach out to appropriate resources if needed.
