Nature Fridays! (Theme: Camping Stewardship)


Join us for fun educational activities themed around camping and how we can practice environmental stewardship! After a fun craft, we'll head outside for a camping demo, then take a virtual camping tour to apply what we've learned.

 If you've never been to this vibrant, cheerful, interactive space - you need to visit! There's plenty to learn—for people of all ages!

Drop into the Environmental Education Centre anytime throughout the day, and join one of our Conservation Educators for FREE, fun educational activities themed around a different aspect of nature and our local environment each week!

Theme: Camping Stewardship

Here's what we've going on this week:

8 AM - 4 PMExplore: Open to the public to explore
10:15 AM Craft: paper camping scenes
1 PM

Demonstration: the Conservation Educators will have a set up a tent outside the Environmental Education Centre, giving a demo and talk about camping do’s and don’ts)  

2:30 PMVideo time: Join the Conservation Educators as we take a virtual tour to a campsite and find out how we can be environmental stewards!

Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.

Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 8 AM to 4 PM. Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
