Ever wondered what an ecosystem engineer is? This week is for you! Come learn about how beavers play a key role in ecosystem engineering and the other animals, like prairie dogs and woodpeckers, that are also considered to be ecosystem engineers. Kids can enjoy a fun beaver related craft and activity to show the role of the beaver. There will also be themed colouring pages and videos related to this week’s topic!

Watch 'Big Changes in the Big Forest' – we will learn about how different animals have changed their natural environment and built their own homes!

Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the Environmental Education Centre.
Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 8 AM to 4 PM. On Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer any questions.
