Southern Alberta is home to an amazing variety of wildlife – ranging from grizzly bears and cougars to moose, bison, bighorn sheep and more! This Nature Friday, we will be exploring the animals that roam the land we live on. We will be joined by special guests from CPAWS (Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society - Southern Chapter) outreach team, who will bring grizzly bear artifacts to check out, a wildlife trivia game and tons of cool learning opportunities! We will get creative with wildlife colouring pages, a bear painting craft and more!
CPAWS is a non-profit conservation organization working to promote thriving, healthy, and diverse lands and waters in Alberta. Since 1967, CPAWS Southern Alberta Chapter has led conservation efforts to protect areas in Banff National Park, Kananaskis, the Whaleback and the Castle. The Southern Alberta chapter is also a leader in environmental education, offering award-winning programs to help build the next generation of environmental stewards.
