Nature Friday: Hibernation


Hibernation is much more than a long nap! This week at the Environmental Education Centre, learn about different animals that hibernate, why they hibernate, and create some bear-themed arts and crafts!

There will also be educational videos and themed colouring pages for this week’s topic!

Here's what we've got going on this week:

Craft time! Make bear masks out of recycled paper plates

Watch & Wonder: Videos: How does hibernation work? and Why do some animals hibernate? 

2:30 PM

Activity and education time: What animals hibernate? Chat and color with the Conservation Educator

Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the Environmental Education Centre.

Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 8 AM to 4 PM. On Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer any questions.
