Family Day Ice Fishing - Kids Can Catch

    Join the Okotoks and District Fish and Game Association (ODFGA) for Family Day Ice Fishing at Kids Can Catch at Chain Lakes Reservoir. This all-ages event is open to the public to come out and try their hand at ice fishing. Bring your own fishing rods if you have one! We have some to borrow. Out on the reservoir you will find pre-drilled holes, fishing mentors, and more!

    Bring a lawn chair, food, and drinks; and dress warmly! No experience or equipment is required but you can bring any ice fishing gear you already own. Ice fishing rods, tackle, and bait will be available for you to borrow. Stroller, wagon, and wheelchair access is not guaranteed due to snow on the lake. Free hot chocolate and $1 hot dogs are available while supplies last.

    Fishing licenses are not required on the Family Day weekend, but we'll still be following all sportfishing regulations.
