ChiliFest 2023 is just around the corner! Join us for our Annual Chili Cook Off and Artisan Market on Saturday, August 26 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. in downtown Okotoks on Elizabeth Street!
Tantalize your taste buds and vote for your favourite of the six chili entries, which will be served from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. or whenever the chili runs out. Winner receives the coveted “Chili Cook Off” trophy and bragging rights!
While we didn’t receive entries for our BBQ Showdown, ATCO Gas grills will be on site from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. firing up hamburgers, hotdogs and corn on the cob.
Purchase chili tasting passports, voting cards and tickets for hamburgers, hotdogs and corn on the cob in front of the Elks Hall on event day.
This event is a fundraiser led by the Elks, Lions, Legion and Kinsmen Clubs of Okotoks. Come on down and show your support for these amazing service clubs that give back to our community in a big way. All proceeds raised will go directly to the partnering service clubs. There are no refunds on passport sales.
Food tasting runs from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. or until the food runs out!
- Please be advised that the chili and BBQ items may contain gluten and other allergens. Vegetarian options may not be available.

Tired of driving around trying to find parking before a major community event? This year we are bringing something new to encourage active transportation, a bike valet! You can ride your bike right down to the event zone and park it at the bike valet free of charge. Your bike will be safely monitored by volunteers while you enjoy the event and you can pick it up when you're finished.
The Bike Valet will be be open from 11:00am to 4:00pm and any bikes left at the valet after 4:00pm will be left unattended, and can be picked up by their owners at anytime.
At events throughout the summer, the Town's Conservation Educators setup Waste Stations throughout the event zone to help sort the waste produced throughout the day. This assures we can divert as much waste as possible away from the landfill!
