Age-Friendly Okotoks Subcommittee
Okotoks is striving to become more age-friendly to meet the needs of those over 65, a fast-growing population. This initiative will promote healthy and active aging, help seniors to maintain their independence, and ensure they are engaged as active participants in all aspects of community life.
A citizen engaged committee will lead the Okotoks Age-Friendly Community initiative.
The Town of Okotoks invites community members to apply for a position on the Age-Friendly Okotoks subcommittee. This subcommittee will examine all aspects of the eight age-friendly focus areas in Okotoks and provide strategic and action-oriented recommendations to ensure Okotoks can become more age-friendly.
Ideal candidates will have specific experience, knowledge, and/or networks relevant to one of the eight focus areas or be residents of Okotoks with a strong interest in participating on the committee.
To apply to sit on the committee, interested individuals should submit a letter of intent and/or a resume that outlines their experience and how it aligns with the Age-Friendly Okotoks Subcommittee Terms of Reference.
Application Deadline: Sunday, January 17, 2021
