Emergency Preparedness Guide

Helping Okotoks residents prepare for the unexpected is the aim of the Emergency Preparedness Guide produced by the Town of Okotoks and ATCO Gas.

“ATCO is pleased to be a part of this important community preparedness initiative,” says Brian Hahn, President, ATCO Gas. “As a company committed to safety, we encourage the distribution of information that promotes emergency awareness. This guide is designed to put the information you need at your fingertips, when you need it.”

In addition to reviewing the new emergency preparedness guide, the Town of Okotoks and ATCO Gas encourage residents to keep a household emergency kit within easy reach for all families. A complete list of kit contents is included in the guide.

Organized in a quick reference format, the new guide includes information on the Alberta Emergency Public Warning System, Alberta One-Call, evacuation procedures, chemical spills, storms, floods, influenza and natural gas and electricity emergencies. Copies of the Emergency Guide are available at the Town of Okotoks office.
