Long Range Plans and Studies
The Town of Okotoks / Municipal District of Foothills Intermunicipal Development Plan is a long range planning document that identifies our relationship with our municipal neighbours, and the nature of land use integration between the municipalities.
Area specific legal document that implements MDP vision through either the subdivision process or the redevelopment process in built-up areas (ARP).
The Okotoks Growth Study and Financial Analysis determines a growth strategy for the Town of Okotoks over the next 60 years. It examines population increases beyond the previous population cap of 30,000 to 35,000 residents, estimates projected land requirements for development and identifies areas for expansion.
This document provides the rationale for the Okotoks Annexation Proposal which is currently in process.
For a fee, anyone can apply to amend a statutory planning document that is in conflict with proposed development plans.
The Town of Okotoks retained Bunt and Associates to undertake an analysis of the current downtown parking situation in order to inform Town Council as to the current parking conditions of the downtown area and make recommendations for solutions to any problems that may be identified through the study.
