Did you find graffiti in a park that needs removal?  A pothole that needs filling?  Now you can help report non-emergency problems on public property to the Town of Okotoks from your smartphone or computer.

Our staff respond to Click 'n Fix requests during regular business hours. If this report comes in on a holiday, weekend or after-hours, it will be read on the next business day.

PLEASE NOTE: Click 'n Fix is not to be used for emergencies or reporting on private property. For urgent matters that require immediate attention or a police response, call 9-1-1.  For any issues regarding private property, please click here

Reporting Guidelines

Our goal is to provide citizens with useful communication channels so you can play an active role in improving your Town.  Before you report an issue, it is important for you to kow our guidelines for commenting and reporting.

Please use the online reporting service to report:

  • Location-based issues on public property like potholes and graffiti.  
  • Non-emergency, non-crime, non-bylaw issues.  (For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For non-emergency crime or a bylaw issue, contact Municipal Enforcement at 403-938-8913).

We discourage and immediately close or delete reports that:

  • Deal with crime or bylaw issues
  • Report on Private property
  • Complaints that are not location-based (political issues for example)
  • Are offensive, profane, abusive or sexually explicit
  • Invade personal privacy (do not post private addresses or names)
  • Promote, foster or perpetuate discrimination
  • Advertise or market commercial activity or that link to non-related sites
  • Suggest or encourage illegal activity
  • Could compromise public safety, security, or Town operations
  • Insult, attack or target specific individuals (The Town of Okotoks reserves the right to notify the RCMP of any cyber bullying activity)

Before Reporting an Issue

Please be aware that online issue reporting is powered by SeeClickFix, a third party service with its own set of terms and conditions. SeeClickFix may contact you using the email address you provide, but they will never display your account’s email address on the open web, and they won’t ever sell your address to anyone else.  

Review our reporting guidelines above to ensure that your issue can be addressed online.  

Getting Started - Desktop Computer

The widget below allows you to make service requests as well as discover existing problems that have been reported, from your desktop computer.

Reporting an Issue (Summarized)

Make sure the Report tab is selected . Drag the map marker to the location of your issue, or type in the address directly. Click Next. Choose a service request category from the drop-down menu that matches your issue. Enter a title (required), additional description (optional), and attach an image (optional).  Click Submit. 

Reporting an Issue (Detailed)

If you want to report an issue using your desktop computer, follow the procedures below:
  1. At the bottom of the page, below the map of Okotoks you will see a green box titled Report an issue. If you click on that button, you can enter the information regarding the issue you want to report. 
  2. The Town and province fields are already filled in, as the application applies only to Okotoks.
  3. You can enter the street address of the issue or drag the red pin on the map to the issue location. If you want, you can drag the pin to adjust the position of the issue on the map; the address will be updated automatically, based on the location of the pin. If you change the address, the location of the pin will change automatically.
  4. Once you are satisfied with the location, press the blue Next button. The second of two screens will appear.
  5. In the Category section, use the pull down menu to select the type of issue you are reporting (i.e. graffiti).
  6. Next, enter a brief title for the issue you are reporting (i.e. graffiti on park bathroom).
  7. Then type in a brief description of the issue you are reporting (i.e. there is graffiti on the park bench in Sheep River Crescent Park). 
  8. If you want, you can upload a picture of the issue. You can use the Browse box to search for and select the photo from your computer’s hard drive or an external drive.
  9. You can also enter your name (optional) and your email address (optional).  If you do not want to enter your name and email address, leave them blank. You will remain anonymous, but will not receive updates on the progress of your report.
  10. If you want to make any changes, click on the Go Back button.
  11. If you are satisfied with your entries, click on the Submit button.
  12. If you did enter your name and email address, you will receive an email acknowledging your report has been received. You will also receive updates on the progress of your report and will be notified when the issue you reported has been addressed.
Getting Started - Mobile
The Click 'n Fix application was developed by a company called See-Click-Fix. This company has created
reporting applications for many cities.  If you do not click on the icons below and want to download the app from the online android or apple stores, you must search for SeeClickFix and then choose Okotoks AB.  

Apple App

  • Click on the app store button.
  • This takes you to the Click 'n Fix page of the Apple App Store.
  • Click on the Free Download button.
  • Click on the Download Now button.
  • Follow the prompts.

  • This takes you to the Click 'n Fix page of the Google App Store.
  • Click on the Install button.

Reporting an Issue to Your Mobile Device

  1. To submit or receive notifications on issues through the app, you will be required to create a profile. You will be asked to enter your name and email address.
  2. When submitting an issue, you will be presented with the option to remain anonymous or to submit with your logged in profile. If you submit anonymously, you will still receive updates on the status of your report, but your personal information will be blurred on public lists so it is not readable.
  3. If you wish to remain completely anonymous and do not wish to fill out a personal profile, you will need to access the application from the Town website.
  4. Follow the prompts provided in the app.
