In keeping with the Town of Okotoks strategic direction to provide ‘Quality Infrastructure’ and a Healthy and Safe Community, Triangle Park (34 North Railway) playground equipment is scheduled to be removed May 13-17, 2019, weather permitting, due to aging equipment and future downtown revitalization projects. During the work, the park will be closed. Please use caution in the area. Following the playground removal, an interim play structure will be installed until a final redevelopment plan is drafted to incorporate this park space. Public participation will take place once any plans are identified.
Okotoks Town Council approved a new community garden on the south side of Okotoks during the regular meeting, April 22. The garden is expected to be open in time for spring of 2020. Details about the project, including how you can reserve a garden plot, will be available soon!
Note: Okotoks' Parks team will be onsite at Kadey Park to discuss the placement of the community garden and any other concerns people may have on May 15 at 6:00 pm. Residents are invited and encouraged to attend!
