Give your clutter a second life!
For the sixth year, the Town is encouraging residents to participate in Curbside Giveaway Day on Sunday, May 19 as a creative way to give clutter a second life, promote recycling and keep items out of the landfill.
Residents are encouraged to place gently used but unwanted items on the curb in front of their property between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Items should be clearly marked as free. Suitable items include books, CDs, DVDs, furniture, small appliances, sports equipment, toys, kitchen gadgets and items, clothing, electronics, yard/gardening tools, construction materials and unwanted gifts. Items should be in good condition and preferably in working order.
Residents can pick up as much or as little as they want from properties around town. Only take items clearly marked as free and placed at the curb, and please respect other’s property. For a full list of suggested items, rules for setting out items, give away etiquette and what not to give visit the Curbside Giveaway Day event page.
Curbside Giveaway Day is conveniently planned for the day after the Annual Parade of Garage Sales. All residents are invited to participate in placing items out and searching for new treasures, whether they participated in the Parade of Garage Sales or not.
