Earth Hour 2017

March 15, 2017

Earth Hour is a worldwide grassroots movement uniting people to protect the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Engaging a massive mainstream community on a broad range of environmental issues, Earth Hour was famously started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Since then it has grown to engage more than 7,000 cities and towns worldwide, and the one-hour event continues to remain the key driver of the now larger climate action movement.

Participate on Saturday, March 25, 2017 - 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Share your short video or picture of how you celebrated Earth Hour to our Facebook and/or Twitter pages.  Right after you turn back on the lights, after 9:30 PM, upload your short video or a photo to our social media pages!  Tell us what you did to celebrate Earth Hour and why you think it is important to make this symbolic gesture. And don't forget to enter the Fortis Social Media contest to win energy prizes!
