Dream BIG…Making Your Greatest Passion a Reality by Crystal Salamon

Crystal Salamon, local entrepreneur, wildly creative artist, and creator of the colouring book “Awakening: Artful Colouring”, as well as many other colouring products, will be sharing how she made her wildest and craziest dream a reality. You will also learn how she has inspired countless others along the way! In less than a year, Crystal has sold well over 5,000 copies of her first colouring book, and is currently working on her second book, which will be published this fall! You won’t want to miss her inspiring story!

We absolutely know moving makes your body stronger and more supple. But did you know it also has a profound effect on your mind? Experience a unique opportunity to affect the neuroplasticity (ability to grow new pathways) of your brain! The research is clear! Discover the secrets of anti-aging for your body, mind and soul in a warm and caring atmosphere, filled with fun and friendship, skillfully led by one of our community’s Masters teachers.

Join Confidence Expert Alisen Dopf in a fun and interactive session that will show you the immediate effects of your thoughts on your body. Confidence is a skill that you can learn and hone. This session will teach you one simple technique to empower yourself and gain confidence in any area of your life.

You Should be Dancin'Vivienne Nicol-Lord

Looking for a fun morning of movement and music? Engage your mind and body in this great musical workout, as Town of Okotoks line dance instructor, Vivienne, leads you through a relaxed, moderately-paced sampling of popular line dances with easy-to-follow steps. You’ll dance to Classic and Hot Country music, laced with a little light Latino! Come with the attitude and heart to learn, and free yourself to experience something new! No experience, or partner, necessary!

Dress Your Way to Health SuccessMegan Chernesky

We’ve all heard the old adage of eating well and exercising regularly to improve health, but could something be missing? In this talk, Megan Chernesky will discuss the D.R.E.S.S for Health Success® model of healthcare, which uses diet, rest, exercise, stress reduction and supplementation to address the root cause of health concerns and create more energy, vitality and overall well-being. Some of the latest research and information will be discussed, along with how functional lab testing can help guide healing.

POUND®  Rockout Workout Tamara Boivin

A prelude to our closing session, Tamara will lead you through the POUND® workout. This full-body drumming workout uniquely combines cardio, conditioning and strength training, with a mix of yoga and pilates-inspired movements, while using light-weighted exercise drumsticks (Ripstix®). This easily modifiable workout and alternate vibe workout is suitable for all fitness levels and body types, and appeals to all ages and abilities!

Healthy Comfort FoodDarren Nixon

Back by popular demand, Chef Darren Nixon will explore the world of “healthy” comfort foods! Take your “emotional eating” to a new level as Darren shares hearty, yet simple foods that we associate with happy memories from our childhood. Often bringing us a sense of warmth and well-being, this sampling of foods is sure to bring a touch of nostalgia to your dinner table, just in the time for the cooler months ahead. Prepare your taste buds for an afternoon of flavourful fun!

Therapeutic Drum Circle - Relationship through Rhythm - Roger Duncan, The One World Drum Co.

Drumming is for everyone. Immerse yourself in the heartbeat of the drum and the synergetic relationship that is created when the individual, the group and the rhythm all come together to become one. In this drum circle we will take you on a guided journey of music-making with drums, bells, shakers, voice and body.  The beat of the drum has positive impacts on your overall health, your stress and your happiness. This isn't your typical circle. This is a musical collaboration of all the players no matter what their level or instrument of choice. Join Roger on this musical sojourn!
