Please Note:

Unfortunately, the camp is not running any summer camp programs for the 2019 season as the Ranch is currently closed for repairs and renovations.

Watch for Summer Camp Application Process in 2020

Parents can contact OFRC staff by phone at 403-995-2626 or email to discuss their child’s physical and emotional wellness and provide documentation of family income.

  • If family income meets eligibility criteria and child meets camper guidelines, parents are provided a link to the registration website for the camp and can register directly.  Children can be enrolled for any week serving their age group, pending availability.
  •  The camp will verify with OFRC staff that applicants have been screened for eligibility before confirming registration with parents.
  • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis starting February 5th at 9 a.m.  Limited spaces fill quickly, so act soon!
  • Families must be able to transport their children to and from camp.
Qualifying Income Guidelines

Parents must provide proof of family income that meets the following guidelines. Preferred proof is the 2016 Notice of Assessment from Revenue Canada, showing line 150 and/or line 236 for each adult in the family.  Proof of Income Support, AISH, or the approval letter from Alberta Child Health Benefits is also accepted.

Camper Expectations and Exclusions

It is very important for families to understand that although the camp has great success with children, part of that success is determined by the camper’s ability to function in the camp environment.  Children with the following diagnosis or who are currently being assessed for the following cannot be accommodated at camp:

  • Autism/Asperger’s
  • Severe Allergies requiring epi-pens
  • Severe Depression (a suicide attempt within the last year)
  • Severe Anxiety (camp can be a detriment to them with all the new things)
  • Severe FASD (some have very limited communication and social skills in this category)
  • A child who has not yet been able to control the frequency of their crisis’, using violence/lashing out or running away as their coping mechanisms
  • A child whose medication has been recently changed and has yet to regulate within their system.
