The Opportunity: 

Reporting to the Programs, Culture & Heritage Manager, the Assistant Programmer is responsible for:
•    Provide teaching and programming on a regular basis, ensuring the standards the Town sets for program delivery are met;
•    Provide care and supervision to participants ranging from toddler to before & after school, following the Child Care Licensing Act and Regulation for those of school
•    Monitor inventory and maintenance of program equipment and supplies;
•    Assist in the implementation of a diverse, age appropriate program;
•    Collaborate on the year-round day camp program including development, implementation and evaluation of children’s’ day camp programming;
•    Follow attendance/security procedures, maintain a clean/safe environment per licensing
standards, and maintain records and stats;
•    Assist in projects and special events as required.

What You Bring
•    Diploma or certificate in a related field;
•    Minimum of 1 year practical experience working with children;
•    Level 2 Early Childhood Educator Certificate preferred;
•    Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector required;
•    Standard First Aid/CPR required.

Pre-employment Requirements:
