Dog Park Improvements

We are very excited to announce that some improvements are being made to our off-leash dog park at 51 Drake Landing Loop.

  1. The first phase of improvements is the addition of double-gated entry areas to the north and south entrances of the park. These double gates will be an added layer of safety as they will help make sure that dogs don’t accidentally escape when folks are entering or leaving.

A larger vehicle access gate is also being installed at the south gate to improve accessibility for maintenance and operations staff.

  • While crews are working on installing these additional gates, the entrances will be completely closed off from dogs and the public with construction fencing. The dog park will remain open and alternative entries will be put into place.

Once the fence is complete, the second phase of improvements will begin.

  1. The second phase of the improvements will involve planting trees in the southwest corner of the park. These trees will provide additional shade for both humans and creatures while improving on the park’s natural beauty. The species that will be planted are native to the area and should naturally spread in the years to come.
  • The tree planting areas will be closed off with construction fencing so that crews can safely work. The south access road will temporarily be closed during tree and soil deliveries, when this is going on we ask visitors to use the north entrances.

We appreciate your patience while work is underway and hope you and your dog enjoy the additions we are making.
