Funding Opportunities

FCSS Grant Information

Each year grants for funding are available for non-profit community organizations and social service groups that are involved in the delivery of preventive social services to residents in Okotoks. Organizations interested in receiving funding have the chance to apply each year and must meet provincial funding criteria. The grant application period typically opens in mid October and closes on November 30th of each year, with funding presentations being held in January.

Agencies applying for funding are required to complete an application form and present to the Family and Community Support Services Advisory Committee.  All funds must be used in the calendar year in which they were received.  

2017 Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) funding is now open.

2017 Application Deadlines

The 2017 FCSS funding application is now closed.    

2017 FUNDING PRESENTATIONS:  scheduled for the evenings of:

  • Monday, January 16th, 2017
  • Tuesday, January 17th, 2017
  • $280,000 in FCSS funding will be available in Okotoks for 2017. 
Apply for 2017 Funding

The deadline for 2017 Funding Applications was November 30th, 2016.   PLease check back in October 2017 for the 2018 funding applications. 

2017 instructions and complete the Family and Community Support Services Foothills Region 2017 Application Form.  

Please use the FCSS Outcomes Measures Bank to help with your application.  

Completed applications can be submitted by email to fcss@okotoks.ca or can be delivered in person or mailed to the Okotoks Recreation Centre (ATTN: FCSS, P.O. Box 20, Stn. Main, 99 Okotoks Drive, Okotoks, AB  T1S 1K1).

2016 Funding Reports

Reports are due by January 31, 2017.   These can be completed by filling out the grey boxes on your 2016 Application Form.

In 2016, $230,000 was given to 15 programs to support people in Okotoks and area.

Social Innovation Fund for Pilot Projects Information

The innovation fund is for pilot projects that are innovative or add a new/enhanced element to an existing program while still meeting the FCSS funding criteria.  Agencies are welcome to apply for the innovation fund in addition to other grants.

United Way/Okotoks Partnership Grant Information

The United Way/Okotoks Partnership provides funding to non-profit organizations for programs that address social needs of Okotoks and area residents.
