Take Part in Okotoks Projects!

Would you like to participate in the Town’s iNaturalist projects? Every year the Town offers various iNaturalist projects for residents to be involved in as citizen scientists. Some of the Town’s past projects include migratory birds, pollinators, and native wildflowers.

When you participate in the Town’s iNaturalist projects, you help to create data that will help the scientific community better understand and protect nature in Okotoks and all over Canada.

About the iNaturalist App

iNaturalist helps you identify the plants and animals around you. Get connected with a community of over a million scientists and naturalists who can help you learn more about nature! What’s more, by recording and sharing your observations, you’ll create research quality data for scientists working to better understand and protect nature. iNaturalist is a joint initiative by the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society.
