New Residents

Are you a new resident or a current resident moving to a new residence in Okotoks or are you moving away?  Here are some things to know about your water, wastewater services, weekly garbage collection, recycling and utility bill payments. Setting Up a Water, Sewer and Waste Collection Utility Account
  • Prior to your occupancy/possession date (minimum 5 days), please fill out the Utility Change of Ownership form to sign up for utilities.
  • If you want the optional Recycling cart, please subscribe by completing the Recycling service subscription form.
  • A remote for reading your water meter is or will be attached to the outside of your home. This small black remote is usually located next to the electrical or gas meter. A clear path to this remote is essential. Please maintain this path by clearing snow and removing such items as hoses and toys.
Residential Development

Residential development in Okotoks primarily consists of new and recent housing developments in variety of neighbourhoods around the town. One can also find older, more established areas near the downtown core. There is a great number of options if you are looking to buy or rent property. There are also acreages, ranches and farms outside the town.
