Birth Place Grove

Each year a birthplace grove is planted to represent Okotoks newest citizens which will matured into a grove that can be visited and enjoyed by people of Okotoks for decades or even centuries. 

  • The 2013 Birth Place Grove is a mixture of trembling aspen, pine, larch and native shrubs. The location is in Tucker Parkway of Westmount.
  • The 2012 Birth Place Grove is a mixture of trembling aspen, mountain pine, ponderosa pine, Canada buffaloberry and Saskatoons. It is located at the west end of Cimarron Grove parkway west of Kadey Park.
  • The 2011 Birth Place Grove is a mixture of trembling aspen, spruce, Douglas fir and limber pine and is located in the Sandstone Neighbourhood in Hemus Parkway south of No Frills.
