Jessica Piche and Lynn Mouck were the two conservation educators and they visited hundreds of homes to talk to residents about how to make their home more environmentally efficient.

Many residents were given information brochures and special "conservation packages" to assist them in conserving water both indoor and outdoors. The packages included a high efficiency spray hose nozzle, outdoor water timer, rain gauge, low-flow shower head, tap aerators and toilet bladders.

The response from residents was very positive and has been since the program's inception. Research has shown people are more likely to change their behaviour through face to face re-enforcement, as opposed to just reading information. This program has proven that to be true. The program has been so successful with residents; it has been expanded this year to include commercial businesses as well.
