The Okotoks School Age Care, operated by the Town of Okotoks, services children and families attending Ecole Elementaire Percy Pegler, Dr.Morris Gibson School and Good Shepherd School.

The Okotoks School Age Care Centre (OSACC) is located at the Okotoks Recreation Centre. At this location the OSACC will primarily utilize the Okotoks Youth Centre, which is located on the lower level. We also benefit from being able to access many other facilities such as Swindell’s Pool, Skate Arenas, and the Shane Homes Gymnasium. As well, we are fortunate to have a school playground situated within a safe walking distance from the OSACC.

The OSACC is designed to meet the needs of full time and part time working parents who require care for their school age children. Care will be offered through before and after school care activities and programs supervised by trained and responsible staff. The OSACC is in addition to the extensive programs already offered including Summer Activities, Professional Development, Teachers Convention and Schools Out Daycamps. The OSACC works towards creating a positive team environment where children can safely interact with others while parents complete their work day.

Parental involvement is a key component to providing quality childcare to children attending the OSACC. Parents are essential to motivating and encouraging children to participate in the program to enhance the child’s overall experience. The OSACC encourages all parents to be involved in the care for their child(ren) to ensure a positive connection is made between the program and its families.
