Special Community Programs' Events
The Town of Okotoks community programs offers a variety of special events for preschool children, school age children, youth and adults throughout the year. Many of our special events and activities have been running for a number of years and we are always working on adding new and creative ideas to our programs. Grad Fashion Show & Silent Auction
The Okotoks Youth Centre hosts an annual grad fashion show featuring the latest fashions by the Lily Pad Inc. We also highlight chic hair, nails and accessories. All funds raised will be used to purchase supplies and equipment for the Okotoks Youth Centre. Easter Bunny Party
Hop on down for some Easter fun! Parents and preschoolers are invited to hop by for some 'bunny' entertainment, 'hoppy' stories easy Easter crafts and activities. Pre-registration is required. Mother’s Day Tea
This time if for mother’s/grandmothers and preschoolers to enjoy together doing crafts and activities.The morning will end with an old fashioned tea. Girl Power Workshop
This workshop is designed especially for girls between the ages of 12 and 17 years and will cover a wide variety of topics that are fun and frivolous, interesting and informative. Topics covered include self-esteem, fitness, street safety, personal pampering, and lots more! Father’s Day Fun
This Saturday afternoon is for children and dad’s to enjoy together. Sports activities will be set up, then a special 'dad and me' craft followed by homemade mini pizza's. The afternoon will end with a dip in the pool. Canada Day
A fun filled day of activities in celebration of Canada Day. Parade of Programs
Connect with the community at the annual Parade of Programs and Community Connections. Local organizations and businesses will be on hand to provide information on all sorts of sports and activities available in Okotoks and an opportunity for one stop registration for all of your favourite pastimes. Women’s Conference
Take a day out from the usual routine and enjoy a day that has been designed to be interactive, engaging, humorous and informative! Guest speakers will share information on a variety of topics and areas of interest to women. Mini Monster Bash
Preschoolers dress up in costume and come out for spooky crafts, scary stories and screechy songs! Each child will get a goody bag to take home. Supported in part by the Okotoks Toy Library. Little Elves Workshop Santa’s Workshop
Hang out in Santa's Workshop for a morning of crafts! Christmas crafts will be created that will be perfect to give as gifts or keep for yourself. Holiday spirit will abound after this festive and fun morning! Skate with Santa
Santa comes to town early every year for the annual Skate with Santa. Candy canes and hot chocolate add to the festive fun. |
