The 25th Annual Big Rock Garden Tour was a big success! The 25th annual Big Rock Garden Tour occurred Saturday, July 21 with a total of 10 gardens including both traditional and xeriscaped designs were included. The event raised a total of $1,379.51 through a combination of ticket sales and donations. Proceeds were donated to the Foothills Country Hospice.
The People's Choice Award went to Greg and Laurel Doetzel of Cimarron. The Big Rock Garden Committee also recognizes: All Through the House, the Crystal Ridge Golf Course and Orville's Place for creating beautiful commercial landscapes. Thank you to the following businesses who helped support this event: Harvest Moon Health Foods, Tribal Connection Market, Sobeys, Safeway, Keith Pontiac, Countryside Landscapes & Garden Centre, Monkey Mountain, Rhoda's Elegance Again, All Through the House, McFarlane Agencies, and Red Barn Mercantile. Peoples' Choice Award After touring the gardens, each ticket holder may vote for their favourite garden by writing the address on their ticket stub and dropping it in the ballot box at the last garden they visit. The Big Rock Garden Committee evaluates the ballots and determines the awards accordingly. The Big Rock Garden Committee awards prizes to all participants who make their garden available for the tour. To check out the past winners click here.
