Monday to Thursday 5:30 am - 9:30 pm Friday 5:30 am - 8:00 pm Saturday 7:00 am - 7:30 pm Sunday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Statutory Holidays 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Okotoks has a recreation centre to be proud of, we’ve thought of everything to provide one stop for fitness and fun! Okotoks Recreation Centre offers year round continued learning, sport and leisure opportunities for the entire family. Facilities within the Centre are available for community programs, private rentals and daily drop-in activities. They include a fitness centre, arenas, pools, multi-purpose rooms, youth centre, curling rink, and gymnasium. Facilities located outside the Recreation Centre include a skateboard park and sports fields. 2009 will see the beginning of construction on the new Outdoor Waters Features Park located just outside the Recreation Centre. Whether you’re looking to beat the summer heat, swim a few laps or just relax in the hot tub the Aquatics Centre has it all for you and your family to enjoy. Looking for Events?
The Okotoks Rec Centre offers 2 Arenas 85' wide by 200' long. Both arenas offer different activities and events depending on the season. Seating capacity in the Piper is 350 and Murray Arena is 1,000. Rinks include dressing rooms (with shower & washroom facilities), timekeepers’ boxes with music & PA capacities, and scoreboards. The Murray Arena is also home to the Bisons Junior B Hockey Team.

Okotoks Youth Centre Check It Out! From Air Hockey to computers come see what the Youth Centre is all about! Slam, Dunk in the Gymnasium
The SHANE HOMES GYMNASIUM provides sports and fitness based programs; public drop in times and rental opportunities. The hard court gymnasium will allow drop in users the options of playing basketball, volleyball, badminton, soccer, and floor hockey. Equipment for use during drop in times will be available for a small rental fee and security deposit at Client Services. Kindercare
The Kindercare Baby Centre has been developed to support parents’ and caregivers’ participation in activities at the recreation centre. Want to work out, take a swim or participate in a program, why not take advantage of the drop in babysitting? Okotoks School Age Care Centre (OSACC)
A new licensed before and after school care program being offered in the Recreation Centre. This service is open to children in grades 1 thru 6 attending Ecole Elementarie, Percy Pegler, Dr. Morris Gibson or Good Shepherd schools. Family and Community Support Services (FCSS)
FCSS responds to the community needs; and designs and delivers community based social programs that are preventative in nature to promote and enhance well being among individuals, families, and communities. |
