The Foothills Centennial Centre is a symbol of the spirit of this vibrant community, weaving together the social, cultural and intellectual activities of Okotoks and the Foothills area. This multi-purpose complex is made up of a seniors' centre, youth space, meeting rooms, covered outdoor patio, commercial kitchen, and a 10,000-square-foot hall that can be divided into four smaller halls. The centre was built with the community in mind and can accommodate functions of anywhere from 10 to 1,000 people. Since it opened in late 2003, the centre has welcomed over 100,000 people from the Foothills area and beyond while hosting trade shows, craft fairs, conventions, weddings, fundraisers, concerts, Christmas parties, seminars, meetings, sports clinics, and large memorials.
