The Crooked Trees of Alticane | Ken Delgarno
April 26 to June 16 | Small gallery
The Crooked Trees of Alticane are a grove of trembling aspen that have genetically mutated. So much so, their trunks and branches twist and contort at incredible angles. The spirit of the trees is palpable. There are so many rhythms flowing in this small tract of land located near Hafford, Saskatchewan. And yet amazingly this place has remained virtually unknown. To add to the allure, in an adjacent grove, not more than 15 meters away, the trembling aspen grow perfectly straight and tall.
