A native of Campbell River, BC, Matthew Blackburn began piano studies at age seven, and began serious musical studies at the Victoria Conservatory of Music with Jamie Syer in 2005.He received an Associate diploma from the Victoria Conservatory of Music in both piano performance and pedagogy as well as his ARCT in 2007.He then continued his studies at the University of Lethbridge, receiving his Bachelor of Music in 2009.Currently Matthew is a Master of Music candidate at the University of Calgary.
