SCHOOL PROGRAMS: PAST TO PRESENT@OMA
Education programs are curriculum-based and run 1.5 to 2 hours. They are available for area schools and home school groups. Fees are $50 plus GST per group, maximum 25 students. A Fee Subsidy is available through the generous support of FIRST CALGARY FINANCIAL and can be applied towards transportation costs and/or program fees. Museum programs are based on the history of Okotoks and area and connect to curriculums in K to grade 6 Social Studies, English Language Arts, Fine Art and some Science.
K to Grade One "My Community"

Grade Three "Prairie Farm Family - Quality of Life, Early 1900s"
Grade Four "Okotoks, In the Beginning"
Grade Five "Okotoks: the Land, History & Stories"
GENERAL INTEREST HERITAGE PROGRAMS - ALL GRADES:
"Heritage Walking Tour" - Learn about historic downtown buildings and hear anecdotal stories about people and places. Includes a museum tour.
"Toys Over Time" - Explores the history of toys followed by a hands-on activity in the attic.
"Life of a Pioneer Wife" - Days were long and work was hard! Learn about the life of a wife before electricity.
"From Rivers to Rocks: Significant Landmark in My Community" - Includes information about the Big Rock and the Sheep River.
